Accessibility Statement
At Seinoza, we believe in the transformative power of pilgrimage and seek to make these experiences available to as many people as possible. We also recognize that the ancient pilgrimage routes of Japan present inherent physical challenges that are part of their sacred character.
The Nature of Japanese Pilgrimage Routes
The Ise-ji trail has been walked by pilgrims for over 1,000 years. The path includes:
Original stone paths (ishidatami) laid centuries ago
Mountain passes with significant elevation changes
Traditional accommodations with Japanese-style sleeping arrangements (futons on tatami floors)
Shared bathing facilities (onsen) that may have limited privacy options
These historical features cannot be altered without losing the authentic pilgrimage experience.
How We Can Support You
